5 out of 11 full proposals submitted within the SOLAR-ERA.NET Cofund 2 Joint Call 2021 were selected for funding. The projects involve organisations from all countries (Austria, Belgium-Flanders, Israel, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Türkiye) having participated in this call.

2021-09-10 – SOLAR-ERA.NET Cofund 2 Joint Call 2021 and Webinar “Exchange of Experiences”
SOLAR-ERA.NET expects to launch its 8th Joint Call on 6 October 2021. Innovative RTD projects in the PV field can be submitted by 10 December 2021. 2020-07-10 – 9 Projects Selected for Funding
9 out of the 22 project proposals submitted will be financially supported with a total amount of 7,8 MEUR contributed by Austria, Cyprus, Germany, Greece, Israel, The Netherlands, Spain, Sweden and Türkiye.
2020-05-26 – 22 Full Proposals Submitted
22 full proposals were submitted in the SOLAR-ERA.NET Cofund 2 Additional Joint Call by 25 May 2020 (deadline). They are being checked by the funding agencies and evaluated by independent international experts. The decision on whether projects are selected / not selected for funding will be communicated by mid-July 2020.

2019-10-07 – Launch of Joint Call
SOLAR-ERA.NET launched the Cofund 2 Addtional Joint Call on 7 October 2019. Preproposals have to be submitted by 29 January 2020. 12 countries and regions participate in this call with a total funding budget of 9 million Euros.
2019-07-10 – Proceedings Available for Smart Solar Power in Europe Event
The European networks SOLAR-ERA.NET and ERA-Net Smart Energy Systems (ERA-NET SES) organised the “Smart Solar Power in Europe” event in the framework of Intersolar in Munich on 16 May 2019. Some 80 stakeholders participated in this successful event. Proceedings are available here.
2019-06-05 – 20 Full Proposals Selected for Funding
20 full proposals were selected for funding by the SOLAR-ERA.NET Cofund 2 Joint call consortium based on the ranking list set up by independent international experts. The total volume amounts to 25 MEUR including 18 MEUR of funding.
2019-03-22 – Register now for “Smart Solar Power in Europe” Event at Intersolar in Munich
The European networks SOLAR-ERA.NET and ERA-Net Smart Energy Systems are organising the „Smart Solar Power in Europe“ event at Intersolar in Munich on 16 May 2019 (10 – 16h). The event is free of charge for you upon compulsory registration latest by 13 May 2019. The information exchange and brokerage event will focus on funding opportunities and new project ideas related to solar power for a competitive European industry, multifunctional buildings and infrastructures, and smart energy systems. 2019-02-25 – 34 Full Proposals Submitted in the Cofund Call
SOLAR-ERA.NET launched the Cofund 2 Joint Call on 4 June 2018. 15 countries and regions participate in this call with a total funding budget of 22 million Euros. 34 full proposals were submitted by the deadline set, i.e. 25 February 2019.

34 out of the 55 preproposals were recommended to be submitted as full proposals by 25 February 2019.

2017-10-31 – 17 Projects Selected for Funding
The SOLAR-ERA.NET Cofund Consortium selected 17 projects for funding, based on the ranking list set up by independent international experts. The projects involve organisations from all participating countries and have a total project volume of approx. 18 MEUR. Projects are likely to start early 2018.

The SOLAR-ERA.NET Cofund call closed its first proposal phase on 14 June 2017. 27 full proposals were submitted.

2016-12-05 – Launch of SOLAR-ERA.NET Cofund Joint Call
SOLAR-ERA.NET launched the first Cofund Joint Call on 5 December 2016. Eleven countries participate in this call: Austria, Cyprus, France, Germany, The Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Türkiye and United Kingdom. The overall funding budget is approx. 19 MEUR. Deadline for preproposal submission is 20 February 2017, 17:00 CET. More Information in the communique.

2014-02-10 – Webinar on 27 February 2014: Opportunity for Organisations Looking for Partners
The SOLAR-ERA.NET webinar is an ideal opportunity for organisations with new ideas to be introduced to new partners that may be able to solve other organisations’ problems and give rise to some great projects coming in through the competition. The purpose of the event is to:
1) Give a brief overview of the competition.
2) Give organisations an opportunity to find partners through a 2 minute, 2 slide pitch (use this template).
The webinar will be hosted by UK based Energy Knowledge Transfer Network and take place on 27 February 2014 between 12:00 GMT to 13:00 GMT (i.e. 13:00 CET to 14:00 CET).

2014-01-15 – Launch of Second Set of Transnational Calls
SOLAR-ERA.NET has launched its second set of Transnational Calls PV2 and CSP2. 17 countries and regions participate with their RTD and innovation programmes in these calls. The total public funding budget for both calls is 12 million euros, covering topics in photovoltaics (PV) and concentrating solar power (CSP). Innovative project proposals – are sought on transnational level between different European countries strengthening the competitive position of the European solar power industry. Preproposals must be submitted not later than 30 of April 2014.
The following topics are part of the second set of transnational calls:

- 1 Innovative processes for inorganic thin-film cells & modules
- 2 Dedicated modules for BIPV design and manufacturing
- 3 Grid integration and large-scale deployment of PV

- 6 Concentrator PV technology
- 7 Si feedstock, crystallization and wafering
